Oh hey, remember when I ran a whole blog and then just disappeared? I’ve done that so many times, but I really thought this last time would be the one that I stuck with. Oops lol.
As a mom with a lot of responsibilities as well as hobbies, it’s just not realistic for me to shell out money to pay for website hosting, marketing, app integration, etc. The reality is that I’m constantly jumping between different subjects and just can’t stick with one on a regular basis.
So my original website, thecozytree .co, is no longer available :(. And let me tell you, it’s an INSANE amount of work to rebuild a website from the ground up when it took me months/years to make it exactly how I wanted the first time.
Why It’s Difficult
But honestly, I’m slightly relieved. I’m going to try to start over, but in a different–more reasonable–way. I’ve discovered time and time again (you’d think I would’ve learned by now) that being a full-on influencer/content creator is not for the faint of heart. To truly be successful in that field, you really have to commit every aspect of your life to it. And frankly, I don’t have the mental energy for that lol.
Instead, I’ve decided to go back to the basics. I’m going to run this blog the way I actually want to, and share the posts on their appropriate platforms (Ravelry for crochet patterns, Pinterest for advice posts, etc). No more trying to force myself to come up with cutesy-yet-generic posts to maintain engagement. No more getting overly-involved in email marketing, ad placement, and affiliate links. As lucrative as those things can be, they’re simply not worth my time, energy, or money.
What’s Changing
Right now, my family is my priority. We just started homeschooling this year, are revamping our budget, and trying to be more intentional about what we spend our days doing.
I will continue to keep the Etsy shop up and running, of course! Especially since 90% of it is digital products anyway, which is easier for both me and my customers. As for my Pinterest and Ravelry posts, well, I’ll have to rewrite those posts or just accept that they’re gone haha. My Youtube is still up with the crochet lessons as well.

This is not meant to be a pessimistic post haha. I’m just letting you all know what the plan is for this blog/business!
Feel free to explore my Etsy and Youtube as well, and stay tuned for future blog posts!
God bless,
