About

Hi, I’m Laura.

I am a Christian, wife, and mother who enjoys all things cozy. For years I’ve tried all sorts of ways to share aspects of my life and hobbies with others, and blogging seems to be the best way to go about it. I love crocheting, reading, drawing, and homeschooling my kids.

Chunky knitted hats and crocheted cup cozies are some of my favorite things!

This cozy is from my line of Encouragement Cup Cozies, which come with a Bible verse card to give to a friend for encouragement. Check the Etsy Shop for product availability.

What is The Cozy Tree?

The Cozy Tree started as an Etsy shop back in late 2019. Due to a series of surgeries I had to undergo throughout that year, I picked up crochet as a hobby and absolutely fell in love. I’ve always enjoyed anything related to coziness or hygge (a Danish or Norwegian word to describe a “cozy, contented feeling that comes from comfort”), and crochet was a great way to keep myself busy and comfy while recovering from my surgeries.

I thought it would be fun to share the crochet patterns I designed with others, so I began selling PDF patterns in my Etsy shop. As an artist and homeschooler, I thought it’d be a great way to share Bible class and homeschool assets as well.

The Cozy Tree is a place where we share Biblical encouragement and cozy goods with Christian mothers everywhere.

My goal with The Cozy Tree is to share Christian encouragement and cozy, crafty ideas with all my fellow mothers looking for some peace and contentment in their lives. This is a place for you to come and read at your leisure, find new hobbies to brighten your life, and get useful, Biblical resources for teaching your children.

New to Crochet?

I don’t only share crochet patterns and tutorials, but it is a major part of this blog! If you’ve never crocheted before, not to worry! I’ve created an entire, complete Youtube series with the absolute basics of how to crochet.

Watch and save the playlist here!

It’s very straightforward and goes through each step slowly so you can follow along easily. Once you’ve learned these stitches, there are so many free crochet patterns here on my blog, as well as paid patterns on my Etsy shop!

Want to Support the Blog?

There are plenty of free and paid ways you can support The Cozy Tree blog! You can like and share posts, pin posts on Pinterest, or even Buy Me A Coffee on Ko-fi.com. It’s easy and doesn’t take much time at all, plus it’s highly appreciated! Your support helps me keep this blog running so I can continue to provide Biblical encouragement and cozy goods and ideas for others.

Donate to my Ko-fi here!

At the end of the day, this blog is mainly an avenue to spread the gospel, share ideas, and encourage others. I hope you enjoy being here, and thank you for visiting!

God bless,

I’m Laura
