Bible Copyright Permissions

As is the nature of this Christian blog, you will find Bible verses quoted frequently. Unless otherwise stated, the translation I primarily use is the English Standard Version (ESV). Please see the copyright permissions below.

Per the ESV publisher Crossway’s website, this translation may be quoted up to and including 500 verses without express written permission of the publisher, so long as they don’t amount to more than one half of any one book of the Bible or account for 25% or more of the total text of the work in which they are quoted.

The following notice must be included in any digital work quoting from the ESV:

“Scripture quotations are from the ESV® Bible (The Holy Bible, English Standard Version®), © 2001 by Crossway, a publishing ministry of Good News Publishers. Used by permission. All rights reserved. The ESV text may not be quoted in any publication made available to the public by a Creative Commons license. The ESV may not be translated in whole or in part into any other language.”

(See full permissions guidelines at http://crossway.org/permissions).
